DURTEQ™ Modular Housing Units
Rapid-deployment housing that uses the same board, facade, and furniture technology as the rest of the platform.
Modular, emergency, and workforce housing
Housing is an assembly, not a different chemistry. Wall boards, facades, floors, and furniture come from the platform and go into emergency shelter, affordable and workforce housing, and accessory dwelling units. Vertical-farming shells and livestock housing are the agricultural versions of the same assembly.
Where it is used
- Emergency response. Rapid-deployment shelter
- Housing. Affordable housing, workforce housing, and ADUs
- Agriculture. Livestock housing and vertical-farming shells
The material
This part is molded from the DURTEQ material platform: invasive pelagic sargassum, MYCOSARG™ mycelium, recycled thermoplastics, and geopolymer chemistry. The same matrix is pressed into sheets and molded into lumber profiles, panels, shells, and furniture. Platform figures for size, density, water absorption, flexural strength, and fire performance are published on the products page. A project still needs the specification, and the approval, for that formulation and that jurisdiction.
A limited lifetime warranty is available with a supply agreement. The coverage schedule is part of that agreement, not a promise published in place of it.
Related uses
The sheet and system line is DURTEQ-Build™. Lumber profiles are lumber replacements.
